Jacob's Ladder
Four patches in the corners and centre, all turned the same way so their dark squares make a diagonal chain, with half-square triangles on the sides whose seams run parallel to the chain.

Construction Tips
Keep every four patch in the same orientation, and turn each side triangle so its light half touches the chain.
