A leaf on the diagonal of a nine patch: three solid leaf squares, four half-square-triangle points along the top and left, a plain background corner, and a narrow diagonal stem in the opposite corner.

The stem can be a bias strip appliqued across a background square or pieced as a narrow strip between two background triangles.
