This format bridges the gap between jelly rolls and layer cakes. The 5-inch width gives you the versatility to sub-cut into smaller units — two 2.5-inch strips, or a series of 5-inch squares — while maintaining the strip format that is ideal for efficient strip-piecing techniques.
Dessert rolls are a Moda Fabrics specialty and are less universally available than jelly rolls or charm packs. However, they are prized by experienced quilters who appreciate the flexibility of a wider strip that can be adapted to many different pattern requirements.
