Orange Peel
Also known as: Lafayette Orange Peel
Four square units, each holding a pointed oval (a peel) on its diagonal, turned so the four peels meet at the centre like a four-petal flower; each peel is bounded by two quarter-circle arcs as wide as the unit.

Construction Tips
Often appliqued; pieced, each unit is a peel set between two curved background pieces. Repeating the block makes peels meet at every block corner too.
